Day-by-Day Itinerary

Single day

03:00–03:30 a.m. Pick-up from your hotel (provided it is near the historic centre of Arequipa) to begin the journey via Yura, heading directly towards the Cruz del Cóndor (approx. 5 hours), stopping only for breakfast.

08:30 a.m. approx. We arrive at the Cruz del Cóndor, where you can admire one of the deepest canyons in the world and the sanctuary of the condor.

On the way back we stop at the villages of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque, with their beautiful colonial churches, as well as the Antahuilque and Choquetico viewpoints, where you can see pre-Inca tombs and terracing and the stunning Colca landscape.

12:00 noon approx. Buffet lunch in Chivay included.

1:30 p.m. On the return we stop at the volcano viewpoint (highest point 4,910 m), the Tocra wetlands with their wild birdlife, and the Pampa Cañahuas, where herds of vicuñas roam within the Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve.

5:45 p.m. approx. Arrival in Arequipa.

Very good tour agency. Eduardo was very clear with what they offer, they were punctual, and delivered well. The breakfast we had on the Colca tour was way more than I was expecting, all the food was delicious. First time trying quinoa with mango, mind blowing. The two guides we had were Angie and Paula for two different tours, both guides had incredible knowledge, stories and jokes to keep the crowd engaged. The guides were in English and Spanish, and both spoke the languages effortlessly. I’ll contact them when I come back to Arequipa 100%!
