Day-by-Day Itinerary
1
Day 1
DAY 01:
We pick you up from your respective hotels between 03:00 and 3:30 a.m. (provided they are near the historic centre of Arequipa), heading for the town of Chivay, where we arrive at around 6:00 a.m. and have breakfast for half an hour; from there we head to the Cruz del Condor, where we admire the majestic flight of the condors and spend around half an hour. We set off for Cabanaconde, at 3,200 m.a.s.l., where we get ready for our hike, passing through Pampa San Miguel. We set off towards San Juan de Chuccho, crossing a suspension bridge and admiring the wonderful scenery; our walk lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours. We reach the village, have lunch and enjoy a free afternoon; in the evening we have dinner and then spend the night in the bungalows.
DAY 02:
The next day we have breakfast and continue our route, passing through the villages of Cosnirhua and Malata before reaching the Sangalle Oasis after 03 hours of walking; we then have a free afternoon to enjoy the pools; lunch is served and dinner in the evening, after which we spend the night in the bungalows.
DAY 03:
As previously arranged with the guide, we get up at 05:00 a.m. to begin our walk towards Cabanaconde, approximately 03 hours; there we have breakfast and then set off for Chivay, first passing through the villages of Pinchollo and Maca to take photos, reaching Yanque and heading to the Chacapi hot springs. Afterwards we have lunch (paid for by the client). We set off for Arequipa and along the way we make stops at the Volcanoes Viewpoint and Pampa Cañahuas, where we observe one of the main South American camelids, the vicuña, before arriving in Arequipa.
05:00 p.m.
We arrive in the city of Arequipa and drop you off very close to the Plaza de Armas.

CONNECTION TO PUNO:
Likewise, should you wish to end your trip in the city of Puno rather than returning to Arequipa, this is possible. This service would run from Chivay to Puno, departing every day from 1.00 p.m. and arriving in the city of Puno at approximately 7.00 p.m. the same day, making scenic stops along the way to admire the local flora and fauna; it includes tourist transport and professional guiding in Spanish and English.
We set off from the city of Chivay (Colca) to the city of Puno, making three stops along the way:
“ANDES VIEWPOINT”: located at 4,900 m.a.s.l., we stop to observe the volcanoes Ampato, Sabancaya, Hualca Hualca and Mismi (the source of the Amazon River) and the Chila mountain range. You can also see the “Apachetas”.
“PATAHUASI” (PAMPA CAÑAHUAS): located in the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, behind the Chachani volcano, where we find vicuñas, llamas and alpacas. Here you can enjoy hot drinks made from natural herbs such as coca, chachacoma and muña; at this point you can also use the toilets, as well as buy handicrafts and souvenirs.
“LAGUNILLAS”: this viewpoint offers a panoramic view of the small lakes that look like mirrors reflecting the sky; it is also the habitat of Andean flamingos and other birds — without a doubt, a great opportunity to take photographs. Finally, we arrive in the city of Puno.
