SINGLE DAY — Lake Parón (the largest in the Cordillera Blanca)
5:45 a.m. — Pick-up from your hotel
Along the Callejón de Huaylas
We pass through Yungay, heading north.
8:00 a.m. — Arrival in Caraz
Optional breakfast at a roadside restaurant.
9:30 a.m. — Parón base camp
A 1.5 h climb along an unpaved road.
Short walk to the lake (15 min)
A gentle slope up to the shore of Lake Parón (4,185 m), the largest in the Cordillera Blanca.
10:30 a.m. — Time at the lake
Photography and contemplation. Optional: boat ride (not included).
11:30 a.m. — Optional: walk to the viewpoint (1 h each way)
For the more active, a trail up to the panoramic viewpoint with views of the Huandoy, Pisco, Pirámide de Garcilaso and Artesonraju (Paramount Pictures) peaks and the Sphinx.
2:00 p.m. — Lunch
3:30 p.m. — Return to Huaraz
6:00 p.m. — Arrival
End of the tour.
